Clinical Supervision

Grow your skills. Find your professional voice.

Becoming a counselor involves more than learning techniques or completing hours. It means developing clinical judgment, navigating uncertainty, and discovering how to bring your knowledge and authentic self into your work.

I’m Dawn Marie Hall, MA, LPC, LCMHCS, founder and CEO of Dragonfly Counseling, PLLC. I provide clinical supervision for Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associates in North Carolina and Residents in Counseling pursuing LPC licensure in Virginia.

My Approach

I approach supervision as a collaborative relationship grounded in curiosity, accountability, and respect. My goal is to create space where you can ask questions, explore challenges, and receive thoughtful feedback while strengthening your ability to provide ethical, client-centered care.

You don’t have to arrive with every answer. We’ll work together to understand your clinical decisions, recognize your strengths, and identify areas for continued growth.

What We Explore

Supervision may include case conceptualization, treatment planning, documentation, ethical questions, professional boundaries, cultural responsiveness, and the therapeutic relationship.

We also make room for the person behind the professional role—exploring how your experiences, reactions, and assumptions influence your work, while building sustainable habits and recognizing the limits of your competence.

Experience That Informs My Work

I bring more than 20 years of counseling experience across community, outpatient, and private practice settings. My clinical background includes work with trauma, grief, adult ADHD, anxiety, and major life transitions.

As a practice owner and supervisor, I value helping developing clinicians connect clinical knowledge with the everyday realities of providing care.

Supervision Availability

Although I am taking a break from providing therapy, I am continuing my clinical supervision work.

Please contact me to discuss current availability, your professional goals, your work setting, and whether we may be a good fit. Fees, scheduling, and supervision arrangements will be discussed before we begin.
