Recovery & Peer Support
Connection. Encouragement. Your path forward.
Recovery is personal, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Dragonfly Counseling offers peer recovery support for people exploring or strengthening their recovery from substance use challenges.
Peer support centers on connection, shared experience, and your own goals—without judgment or the expectation that everyone’s recovery must look the same.
Meet Brian Satterwhite, M.Ed.
Peer Recovery Support Specialist
Brian has completed peer recovery support training and is working toward certification. He brings lived experience in recovery and a commitment to helping others feel heard, supported, and encouraged as they identify their next steps.
Support for Everyday Recovery
Peer support offers space to talk honestly about recovery, recognize strengths, explore supportive routines, and connect with community resources. The focus is on your priorities, choices, and building a life that feels meaningful to you.
Peer Support and Counseling
Peer recovery support is a nonclinical service. It does not include diagnosis, psychotherapy, medical advice, detoxification, or emergency care. It can complement counseling and other recovery resources but does not replace clinical treatment when needed.
Availability
Peer recovery support is available now, with in-person appointments in Wytheville, Virginia, and virtual options. Contact our office to discuss scheduling, fees, and whether this service fits your needs.
